Service Terms

Ratzon provides daily tefillin check-ins, streak tracking, personal history, and community features. Contact jared@ratzonapp.com for account, subscription, or voting support.

Subscription access

The Ratzon Membership subscription purchases ongoing access to digital app features. The purchase screen displays the actual localized App Store price and billing period before confirmation. Apple charges your account upon purchase confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; Apple may charge for renewal within the preceding 24 hours. Manage or cancel renewal in Apple subscription settings. Cancellation generally preserves access until the paid period ends. Restore an existing subscription from the purchase screen. Refund requests are handled by Apple. Deleting your Ratzon account does not cancel your Apple subscription.

Daily participation does not change subscription access or earn money. Subscription payments are payments to Ratzon for digital services, not personal charitable donations, and do not create a wallet, cash value, charitable credit, ownership interest, or tax receipt for the subscriber.

Company donation commitment

Ratzon commits to donating 100% of its positive monthly net profit from subscriptions to the recipient selected through the monthly charity vote. Monthly net profit means subscription revenue actually received for that accounting period, less Apple commissions, refunds and chargebacks, applicable taxes, and documented operating costs for Ratzon. Costs include hosting, software, support, and other expenses required to operate the service. If reconciliation produces no positive profit, no donation amount is owed for that period. There is no fixed donation per subscription or guaranteed minimum donation.

Ratzon calculates the donation after reconciling Apple proceeds and operating expenses. The app shows reconciled amounts and records confirmed company donations separately from estimates. Ratzon is responsible for sending its company funds to the recipient; members do not individually transfer or withdraw funds. Subscription revenue is not held in trust for members or charities.

Monthly charity voting

Eligible subscribed members may cast one vote in each published monthly round among its available charities and the submitted vote cannot be changed. The round displays its closing date. Voting chooses the recipient of Ratzon’s company donation; a vote has no cash value. Results do not alter your subscription price, benefits, or check-in history.

Voting closes at the beginning of the next calendar month in America/New_York. The available candidates rotate monthly. The candidate with the most votes wins. Ties, including a round with no votes, are resolved by the published candidate order. After the round closes, Ratzon records the winner, reconciles the accounting period, and records the donation once it is fulfilled. If a recipient cannot accept the donation, Ratzon will explain the situation and publish any replacement decision before fulfillment.

Community and account rules

You must be at least 13 to use Ratzon. Keep your account secure. Submit only photos and captions you have the right to share. Do not post unlawful, abusive, sexually explicit, threatening, deceptive, or privacy-infringing material. You retain ownership of your content and permit Ratzon to host and display it as needed to provide the features you use. You may report posts or block their authors through the app. Ratzon may remove content or restrict accounts for rule violations.

Check-in calendars and tefillin information support personal practice; they do not replace advice from your rabbi. Ratzon does not sell or purchase tefillin. Contact your nearest Chabad center, on campus or in your community, to arrange tefillin to use.

Privacy and app license

Our Privacy Policy explains account data, community visibility, service providers, and deletion. The app license is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These service terms explain Ratzon’s service and company donation program; they do not replace Apple’s EULA or billing terms.

Changes and availability

Features and future voting rounds may change. Material changes to the donation commitment apply prospectively and will be disclosed before taking effect. Ratzon does not guarantee uninterrupted service. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
